Meet Us
About us
At PMG we are a collective of independent guides from across Patagonia. We are committed to supporting the local economy and fostering a strong sense of community while delivering exceptional guiding services.
As mountain professionals who spend every day in the field, we are dedicated to
understanding your needs and matching you with the perfect guide for your adventure.
Our guides are the real deal. Every one of us is fully certified to the highest safety standards, genuinely fluent in the languages we work in, and — most importantly — the kind of person who makes you feel right at home from the very first moment. Certified expertise, true fluency, and heartfelt service — that’s what we’re about, every single day.
We are Sofía and Julián, the founders of PMG. We guide across Patagonia ourselves and are your first point of contact for every trip. When demand calls for it, we work alongside a trusted network of certified, bilingual local guides who share our standards and our commitment to making every experience exceptional.

-Mountain guide AAGM UIMLA –
I grew up in a small town in Patagonia and have spent my life moving between its mountains, valleys, and far-flung corners — guiding and learning across Patagonia, Alaska, Europe, and New Zealand. That nomadic path shaped the way I guide: curious, adaptable, and always at home in wild places. Beyond guiding, I’m passionate about outdoor education — I’m a NOLS instructor and coordinate mountain guide training in Argentina. I’m based in Bariloche, but Patagonia is my backyard in every direction. What I love most about this work is the people — being patient with someone learning something new, sharing a hard-earned summit, and making sure that by the end of the day, the mountains feel like a place you want to come back to again and again.

– Full mountain guide IFMGA – UIAGM –
I was born and raised in Bariloche, surrounded by the mountains that eventually became my life’s work. I studied Physical Education, Physiotherapy, and Guiding — a combination that shapes how I read terrain, read people, and build trips that actually fit the person in front of me. As an IFMGA-certified guide I’ve worked across South America — Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador — and beyond: Alaska, the European Alps in France, Switzerland and Italy, Spain, and Nepal. I’m an avid skier and climber, and what drives me most is helping people achieve things they never thought they could do on their own — whether that’s completing a complex alpine route, taking their first backcountry ski turns, finishing a long trek, or simply discovering a place for the very first time.

What we do
We match you with the right guide for your adventure — whether that’s a technical alpine climb, a backcountry ski traverse, or a multi-day trek through remote Patagonia. Trips can be fully private and built around you, or you can join a small group on a set itinerary. Either way, your Patagonia experience starts the moment you reach out. From your first message, you’re talking directly with the person who will take you into the mountains — not a sales rep, not a call center, not an agency based thousands of miles away. That connection is real, and it starts on day one.
